If you’re anything like me, your mornings are the most hectic time of day for you and your family. Getting everyone ready, so they can all be on time is quite challenging. Every minute is precious, so I need to be extra resourceful!

As I’m sure you know, a good skincare routine helps improve your appearance and, more importantly, is essential to your overall health. Below I’ve outlined an easy yet effective skincare regimen that fits any busy morning.

Step 1: Splash cold water or essential face spray

Splashing cold water on your entire face can invigorate and stimulate tired skin. The cold water helps reduce puffiness and is an effective way to help alleviate redness/inflammation. Cold water also helps increase blood flow, giving your skin better protection against free radicals, such as pollution.

Step 2: Apply a Hydrating Cleanser

Cleansing in the morning removes anything that builds up overnight, such as oil secretion or sweat. If you don’t have oily skin in the morning, please skip this step. Over-cleansing in the morning can dry out your skin.

Tip: Make sure you change your pillowcase frequently, especially if you have acne-prone skin or have overactive oil glands.

Step 3: Hydrate with a serum and moisturizer

A serum is the perfect way to deliver powerful ingredients directly into the skin. Serums are particularly suited for this task because they are made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate deep into the skin and deliver a high concentration of active ingredients. This makes them a great treatment for targeting specific skincare concerns, like wrinkles. Applying a moisturizer can also help retain moisture and improve the skin’s texture for a firm and radiant-looking appearance.

Step 4: Protect your skin with an SPF

Even if you’re outside minimally, apply an SPF lotion or spray. Even the smallest doses of sun exposure can cause damage that is usually irreversible. If you use a tinted moisturizer or foundation, consider one that contains SPF so you can cut out an extra step.

This skincare regimen is simple, fast, and very effective. Start your day looking great and feeling stress-free. Now, that’s got to make you HAPPY!
